Earth Day at Hayes Valley Farm
Tuesday, April 20th, 2010Hey fans! If you’re in town this Thursday, bring yourself and your 36 friends down to the farm. Celebrate Earth Day while learning new skills, building new soil, and making a few new friends. We’re providing live music by talented local artist Pamela Parker and free food to keep you moving while you work! Take part in our letters of intention ceremony, plant seeds, build vertical potato towers and contribute to something amazing!
RSVP: While RSVP is not required, we appreciate a count so please RSVP at the event page on Facebook
What to Bring? – Please bring yourself, clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty, tough shoes as there are some sharp objects on the site, water bottle, working gloves and a positive attitude.
What we really need: You of course, but if you also have any wheel barrows, pitch forks, shovels, rakes, cardboard or coffee grounds bring those too!
Details: 2:30-6:30pm @ 450 Laguna St, SF, CA 94102 (between Fell and Oak) – link to google map
Community Opportunity: Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association meeting at 7:00pm on the farm

Looking for a wonderful way to spend Easter? Swing by the Hayes Valley Farm at around 12:30 for an egg hunt. The kids and young-at-heart can take turns painting eggs and just relaxing in our urban oasis. The Hayes Valley Farm is located at the corner of Fell and Laguna. See you there!
The much anticipated Hayes Valley Farm has broken ground at the corner of Fell and Laguna. This piece of land was an off ramp before Hwy 101 was rerouted, breathing new life to our community. I’m heading there now with my son for a work day. We’re looking forward to really local food and good times. Here is a link to the website.
Holiday blues? Instead of sticking your head in a bowl of egg nog, pick up the latest copy of 7×7 Magazine and have yourself a little chuckle at my expense. That’s me in my dining room trying to look relaxed. My friends know that my house never actually looks this tidy and the first thing I do when I get home is put on my long johns. Well, at least I have an opportunity to let all the ladies know that if you like my dress you can dash over to meet one of my best friends Danette, the designer and co-owner of Lemontwist, located in Hayes Valley (of course). Like our rugs, her whole collection is customizable with a large selection of fabrics to choose from and a perfect fit insured. Check out lemontwist.net for a peek at her collection.
