The much anticipated Hayes Valley Farm has broken ground at the corner of Fell and Laguna. This piece of land was an off ramp before Hwy 101 was rerouted, breathing new life to our community. I recently visited Portland for the first time in November. After only two days I was completely ready to move there. Anyone who loves a city with an iconoclastic attitude, beautiful craftsman homes, HUGE trees, amazing food and shops (without sales tax!) will totally fall in love. Did I mention bicycles and bicycle lanes everywhere? So, when I received this image from one of our customers in Portland it made my day. Thank you Brian! I’m returning next month and will undoubtedly find amazing stuff to blog about. Stay tuned Portland lovers…

I started the day, as usual with my local Pacifica radio station listening to Democracy Now which played Martin Luther Kings’ famous, “I have been to the Mountain Top” speech, given the day before he died.
